The Broward commission on alcoholism wants the County Commission to purchase the former Beach hospital, 125 N. Birch Road, on the Intracoastal Waterway, as a treatment center and official headquarters... Edward Brede; and Stanley Utilasky, treatment director, have surveyed the four-story building several times and agree it would serve admirably, they said yesterday. "We have been quoted a price of $650,000 for the building and certain properties adjoining it[.]"
