Fort Lauderdale Beach Hospital, now a non-profit nonsectarian community hospital, has announced appointment of committee of trustees to raise $500,000 and expand the hospital to 155 beds. Sept. 29, the Lambert Foundation, Inc., bought the hospital from the prior owners, a private profit corporation. President of the foundation is John D. Mendez, who said the hospital is launching an immediate improvement program enlarging the laboratory and radiology facilities, building a new emergency room and ambulance entrance, increasing kitchen and dietary areas and widening corridors.
