A test of quick change artistry is scheduled for early May when the Blue Water Hotel will be transformed from swank waterfront hostelry into a 100-bed hospital for the care of the chronically ill. The last winter guests will leave the Blue Water on April 30, contractors will move in, and on May 15 the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hospital will admit its first patients. "It's a big task," says Dr. Louis L. Amato, medical tor of the proposed hospital, "but there's a tremendous need for care of the chronically ill in this area.

Opening Scheduled Next Week Names of key personnel who will staff the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hospital when it accepts its first patients Wednesday have been announced by Dr. Louis L. Amato, medical director of the new hospital.
Located at 125 N Birch Rd., hospital was formerly the Blue Water Hotel. L.C. Judd & Co., Inc., local realty firm which was instrumental in the original development of the hotel when it was built in 1949, handled the transfer of the property from its former owner, Frank R. Peterson, to the group of buyers headed by Amato.

The Rainbow, a new 30-unit apartment project, is going up along the ocean in Hillsboro Beach. Frank R Peterson, owner of the structure, said that he hopes to have the facility completed by December. The Rainbow is being. erected on a site which contains 200 feet of ocean frontage and stretches 500 feet from the ocean to State Rd. A1A... The Rainbow was designed by Charles McKirahan.
